Hi ,
I still have one question for the maker of MOBI (probably I'm not the first to ask), is there any way to use potentiometers in Mobi? I plan to do a trothle and mix to Cesnny using potentiometers. And if MOBI does not work, I have to buy a joystick plate from Leo Bodnar (but it's very expensive).

Hi Peter,

at the moment it is not planned (in the moment) to integrate potentiometers into Mobiflight.
But the BU0836A, I agree with you, are quite expensive and, in combination with FSUIPC, are perfectly suitable for the Flusi.
I have 4 of them in action myself.

Hi.

Support of Potentiometers is basicly not a target at the moment. ( And as i know not in the future, too.)
Basicly Mobiflight was never designed to make Inputs (Whatever Buttons) ... But in Case of easy way to implement Sebastian include that verry early.

For Potentiometers this is not logical.

Using this need a Plattform simmular to "FSUIPC Axis Controlls" ... Rebuild this in MF is simply not needed cause it exist in a perfect form already.
So the only alternate would be a using of potentiometers and simply "sending" this Data to FSUIPC.... But thats also not logical cause then we have Mobiflight as a "transmiter" .... Why using a Transmiter (slow down everything) if we can use the potentiometer directly via a USB HID (Joystickcontroller) that is recived directly in the Sim.

********

To help you and to save your Money :

A Bodnar is "perfect" but not needed basicly. You can also use every Joystickcontroller for that.
For examply you can hack a cheap old Gamepad.... Simply remove the Potti there and wire your own Potti to it.

Much more easy is to use a Software like "UNOJoy or the ArduinoJoystick Library from Mr. Heironimus. (Pelase google for that)
There you can convert a cheap 5$ Arduino Clone into a HID Gamecontroller.
Good Luck !
