Hi,

I hope you will be able to help me. I'm building my own MCP and would like to build an Autothrottle Arm switch to turn off automatically. Unfortunately I cannot find the MPDG offset for it to control the hardware. Do you know what it is, or what the solution may be? Thanks in advance.

I think you spell it wrong ....

Pretty shure you mean PMDG !

Here there exist not direct offset ! ... cause this system is not supported basicly...

To solve this you need to work with some preconditions ( or a own Lua script) but with Conditions in Mobiflight this should be working verry realisitc.

I not know your hardware ( Switch- solonoid - self build or premade ?? ) .... So i can´t tell you the exact setup.

But finaly... You need a Relais that controll the solonoid.... and the Relais must get preconditioned via the Offset Status of the AT Arm Switch.

For example.... If your Switch is ON.... But in SIM it turns to off.... Then your System must controll the solonoid in a way that the real switch is get into OFF Position, too.
This can be done with a Spring System and a Holding Solonoid.... Or with a Pushing/Pulling Solonioid....

Finaly... Tell us the Hardware ( with a Picture or a datasheet) and then we can think about the Mobiflight internal logic !

EDIT: Please check this ! https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/topic/977.html
Good Luck !

Thank you Pizman82 and StephanHo for getting back.

Yes, Pizman82 you are absolutely correct, this is the exact device I'm trying to make (https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/topic/977.html). In fact, I did find this message searching for an existing post on MobiFlight to my question, but i could not understand the subsequent responses provided, as it was not in English.

I don't have a sketch of the mechanics ready yet, but i do realize that it will involve a solenoid, something similar to one shown on the same Youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ImjTw8CtqE). My challenge is, that to my understanding, there is no an offset signal when PMDG A/T goes "off" that will be send to the solenoid. I'm also not sure now the relay will work together with the solenoid.

With respect to my software, I'm using FSX with MPDG and fsuipc (registered version) also running. As for hardware, i have purchased solenoid running on 12v., I also have purchased relay and of course toggle switch on/off.
